Su also writes some heresies from time to time...
During our drive through Pennsylvania, we stopped for ice cream at the suggestion of our friend, Bill Havyer. At the Penn State campus in State College, I ran in to the Berkey Creamery and checked out the flavor options. I knew right away that Woody would love eating “Happy Happy Joy Joy.“ This flavor is described as a “sweet, tropical, coconut ice cream studded with butter roasted almonds and chocolate chips.“ How can you go wrong with that? (They no longer sell “Peachy Paterno“ for some reason!)
As the ice cream name echoed in my mind, Woody and I read aloud our daily devotions from Morning and Evening, by Charles Spurgeon. Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.“ Others may moan and groan over their misfortunes. But with joy joy, we will choose to bless bless the Lord. “Jesus must have the crown of our heart’s delight,“ wrote Spurgeon. “We will exalt and rejoice, double joy, blessedness upon blessedness.“
We will rejoice and be glad in the Lord. “What rivers of infinite bliss have their source, aye, and every drop of their fullness in Him!“ In Him alone do we savor to the last bite the true flavor of HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY
