Marching Through Zion

We got up early to take advantage of the day. We made scrambled eggs, spicy sausage, and coffee. Then we walked to the Zion national park entrance, and on the only dog friendly trail in the park. The Pa’rus trail is paved, 3.4 miles long, and goes along the La Virgen river. We saw beautiful scenery there in the canyon.

As we walked back to the camper, we stopped in town for an iced Frappuccino and an Afogado at Hoodoos. We fixed lunch and had a sweaty nap before going to the town of Hurricane to buy gas and groceries and get the car washed.

We also drove to the northwest side of Zion National Park and hiked past the road closure at Kolob Canyons. 3 miles of the road are open, but the remaining 2 1/2 miles are closed due to a landslide. There were very few people and we were able to take Porsche. The sights were absolutely lovely!
